Sergio Leone’s gangster epic is as unique and perfect as they come. The writing is sensational, the score is beautiful and the acting especially on Robert De Niro’s part is just extraordinary. This is a classic, and the level of brilliance it has is just fucking incredible. I can’t help but think what this would have been like if Leone didn’t have to cut it though…
Six hours of footage were cut to 229 minutes… Leone’s drama.
